Information only. PayOrScam gives an automated risk assessment based on the document you provide and public sources. It isn't legal, financial or investigative advice, and it isn't a guarantee that a payment is safe or unsafe.
Your decision. You remain responsible for any payment you make. Always confirm payment details directly with the company, using contact details you find independently.
No statements about companies. Reports describe warning signs and where they came from. They never state that any named company is a scam or has committed fraud. Third-party sources may be inaccurate or out of date.
Acceptable use. Only upload documents you have the right to share. Don't use the service to harass, defame or target any business or person.
Business verification only. Business verification only, not a consumer report under the FCRA; not for credit, employment, housing or insurance decisions. We use public sources only: company registers, domain records, regulator lists and public web pages.
Paid plans. Prices are shown on our Pricing page and at checkout. A single report ($4.99) is a one-time charge. Monthly plans (Starter $9, Business $29) are charged when you subscribe and then automatically each month until you cancel. Each plan includes the number of reports shown at purchase, and unused reports don't roll over. Price changes never apply to a period you've already paid for, and we'll tell you by email first.
Cancellation and refunds. You can cancel a monthly plan any time, using the link in your receipt email or through our contact form. You keep access until the end of the paid period. Refunds follow our Refund & cancellation policy, including a full refund if a paid report fails to generate.
Payments. Payments are processed by our payment provider; we don't store card numbers. Charges appear on your statement as PAYORSCAM.
Support. Contact us through the contact form. We reply within 1 business day.
Liability. To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before a claim. We aren't liable for losses from payments you make or decline to make.
